last results vs process/reasoning

Still impress the llast results in mathematics? How about if the way in do is right but, the last results is wrong? Which one more important? The process or the last results?

Without overlook at the results, we should understand that process is more important to know our improvement. However, today we still meet teacher who only impress to the results, if the results are wrong then all of the process are wrong. Is it true? However in the realtion with assessment, process is more important. Actually assessment is to measure the understanding, what happened if we only see from the results? From where we know the students get improvement?

In doing probelm solving, we don’t see the last results but what we see is the process, how students can communicate their way and interpretation, the assessment system that impresses (1-0) score are not appropriate in this case, we should make rubrics and proportion about the process. When we only consider tha last results, it’s mean we force in results not in process. If they are shown their mistake or missconception it will make them didn’t repeat the same things, and also by process assessment we can respect their work.

When we develop process assessment, automaticely, we develop their higher order thinking…
